Introduction
This page lists macro programs that are available for WordStar for Windows, WordStar Personal Writer, and Xoom Word Pro.

| WordStar for DOS Commands ^K and ^Q |
| If you like to use WordStar for DOS style commands when working in WordStar for Windows you can add a range of ^K and ^Q commands that aren't natively supported by WordStar for Windows. For further details and installation instructions see FAQ Q1017. |

| A set of macros to add the WordStar for DOS commands ^U and ^Y to WordStar for Windows are detailed in FAQ Q1018, which also details how to install these additional commands. |

| WordStar for DOS Command Macro Code |
| The same macros as available above in WordStar for Windows macro (WMC) files, but in a single plain text document so you can cut and paste them into the Macro Editor and save them yourself or to use as a reference. Each of the macros will need to be placed in its own WMC file before it can be used. Download the file from here. |
| Document Automation Macros |
| Export Document Text to WordStar for Windows Text Files |
| As a means of backing up, or saving space, you can export the text from a WordStar for Windows document into WSX files. This macro helps automate that process. The macro is available for download from here as a Zip file. The Zip archive contains two files: the macro itself and a text file explaining its use. |
| Export Document Graphics to Individual Files |
| This macro program is a companion to the export text macro described above. Full details are contained in the text file in the Zip archive. The macro can be downloaded from here. |
| Copy Current Page to Next Page Including All Frames |
| This macro program copies the current page, including all frames on the page, to the next page. The program was written by Rich Zuris, one of the WordStar for Windows programmers. The macro can be downloaded from here. |
| Sort Document Paragraphs |
| This macro program sorts paragraphs of text based on the first word of each paragraph. It runs slowely and can't cope with large ranges of paragraphs so its use is limited to relatively short lists. The macro is described in the text file sort.txt within the Zip archive that contains the macro itself. The macro can be downloaded from here. |

| This macro program attempts to recover from a corrupted WordStar for Windows document. This is a rather tall order and should only be attempted when all else fails and even then on a back up of the file. The macro can be downloaded from here. |
| Y2K Bug Correction Macros |
| Template Macro |
| The template macro is supplied with WordStar for Windows and provides functions for creating calendars, etc. The date routines in the original macro are incorrect. This version corrects those errors. For full details of the corrected Template macro for WordStar for Windows see FAQ Q1027, which also provides the download link. For Xoom Word Pro see FAQ Q1030. |
| Insert Date Macros |
| The Insert > System variable... > Date... menu item in WordStar for Windows is hard coded for the 1900s. There is a Y2K patch to one of the WordStar for Windows system files that corrects many of the issues, but others still remain. There are two possible work-around macros that can be used as long as the date is inserted as fixed text. |
