WordStar for Windows 2.0
Assign a Macro to a Keyboard Command in WordStar
for Windows 2.0
Introduction
WordStar for Windows offers three different keystroke sets:
- Windows Standard commands
- WordStar for DOS commands
- WordStar 2000 for DOS commands
This article details how to add additional commands to those provided
by assigning a command to a previously created macro program.
To add extra commands you need to create a macro program that gives the
required function and then assign this macro to the required keyboard
command.
Configuring Extra Keyboard Commands
- Start WordStar for Windows.
- Select: Tools | Customize... | Keystrokes...
- Ensure the Keystroke Set you want to customise is selected in the
dropdown list.
- Ensure that the List radio button is set to Macros.
- Click the Browse... button to open the Select a Macro dialog.
- If necessary, change to the WordStar for Windows macros directory
and select the macro that you want to run when the command is typed,
then click OK. The Select a Macro dialog will close.
- Click the Add... button to open the Add Keystroke dialog.
- Type the command you want to assign to the macro including the Ctrl
and Shift keys as necessary. If you make a mistake, click the Clear
button and try again.
- Click OK.
- Click the Close button on the Customize Keys dialog.
